Handshake for Faculty and Staff

Since 2017, Mercer University has been a proud partner school with Handshake, the #1 early career campus recruiting platform. Handshake’s mission is to democratize access to opportunity: to help every student find the right job, no matter where they’re from or who they know. Every Mercer student has a Handshake account created for them on their first day of enrollment. In addition, alumni keep access to the platform and our services upon graduation!

Students across all of Mercer’s campuses and degree programs use Handshake to:      

  • Connect with Mercer Career Resources, like career assessments, resume platforms, and mock interview assistance
  • Schedule appointment with the Mercer Career Experts
  • Job/Internship Searching and Application Management
  • Career Fair and Event Registration
  • On-Campus Interview Scheduling
  • Employer Sourcing and Recruiter Communication

As a member of the Mercer Community, we want you to help us promote this great career resource and platform. As such, we invite all Mercer Faculty and Staff to request a Handshake Student Account for your use in the classroom and when advising students. These accounts are identical to those that our students and alumni receive

Faculty and Staff are encouraged to sign up for a Handshake Student Account so that they can see all that the platform has to offer.

To Register for an account:

  1. Visit https://mercer.joinhandshake.com/login
  2. Click “Login to Handshake now!”
  3. In the top right hand corner, click the “No Account? Sign up here” option
  4. Click the Student/Alumni button
  5. Fill in the requested information (utilize your Mercer Work email address)
  6. Click “Create Account”
