Community Engagement and Development Internship Program

The Community Engagement and Development Internship Program was designed to pair students with non-profit, community-based, and private businesses with a vested interest in improving some aspect of life and work in Central Georgia for a robust internship experience that lasts one full academic year.

The inaugural interns earned internships at organizations such as Boys & Girls Club of Central Georgia, Fuller Center for Housing, Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, Real IMPACT, Inc., United Way of Central Georgia, and more.

During this time, the student will have opportunities for mentorship, feedback, and peer counseling through the CED 190 course which must be taken simultaneously as the first semester of the internship. Throughout the internship, you are expected to grow, learn, and change. Standards of communication and professionalism must be maintained!

Applications will become available for the annual Internship Program at the start of the spring semester. If you have questions about this program, please reach out to Hannah Vann.
