Ways to Recruit Mercer Talent

Employers are invited to recruit college-level talent from Mercer University in a variety of ways. We invite you to consider one or all of the following.

Employers are invited to recruit college-level talent at our annual fall and spring semester job and internship career expos. These are our premier recruitment events and are typically held on the Atlanta or Macon Campus. Our All Majors events typically draw approximately 900 student attendees from all types of academic programs and disciplines from across the university, including business, engineering, liberal arts/humanities, and sciences, while our targeted fairs and networking events draw a smaller but much more focused audience.

Employers may create an information session events at their convenience inside their Handshake account, free of charge. The delivery mode options include virtual, at the employer’s chosen site, on a Mercer campus, or a hybrid event designed by the employer. Presentations topics that include content about the organization’s industry, products, services and culture, as well as the career opportunities and selection process are customary. In addition, students greatly value presentations that include learning and growth in various professional development topics. Once the event is created in Handshake, the platform AI will go to work promoting your session to the target audience of students you selected.

The Career for Career and Professional Development can arrange for you to staff a table located in a prime campus location during peak hours to talk with Mercerians. Our Outcomes

Career Outcomes Data Collection Information

The Mercer University Center for Career and Professional Development administers the Graduate Career Outcomes Survey to degree completers each semester. The Graduate Career Outcomes survey consists of a set of questions developed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (*NACE) along with a set of Mercer University-specific questions. The survey questions collect detailed information about the graduate’s post-graduation career plans, career field experience engagement, resource utilization, and career decision-making process. The data reported in this survey represents a graduate’s career outcome within the first 6 months after graduation.

The results represent the population of graduates for whom Mercer has reasonable and verifiable information concerning their post-graduation career activities, either from responses to the Graduate Career Outcomes Survey or from other sources, such as faculty or staff, direct contact with graduates, or web and database searches. The targeted population included graduates from all baccalaureate, graduate, and professional programs, except those from the School of Law. See the School of Law Website for more information on their Employment Statistics.
